About Dr. Nizar Habal...
Dr. Habal received a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a Master’s degree from Columbia University in New York. He obtained his medical degree from New York Medical College where he was awarded the school’s Trustee Scholarship. He accomplished his general surgery training at The New York and Presbyterian Hospital / Cornell University.
His cancer sub-specialization was completed at the Memorial / Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and The John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, California.
He has been providing breast cancer care in Greenville, North Carolina for over 20 years.
Dr. Habal is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the Society of Surgical Oncology. He is a member of several medical professional societies including the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology among others, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
